Why a Contract?
I care deeply about animals. As a breeder I feel it is my responsibility to do all in my power to ensure that none of my puppies end up in puppy mills or animal shelters. For this reason all of my puppies are sold with a spay/neuter contract. I want each puppy to end up in it's forever home, but I also understand that life happens! Often when people can no longer keep a puppy it's because they have extenuating circumstances, or find that a puppy requires more work than they have time to commit. An owner may feel pressure to find a home quickly without ensuring it's a good fit. For this reason, if you are unable to keep your puppy during its first year from adoption, I ask that you return the puppy to me for a refund minus your $250 deposit. The first year is a crucial time in a puppy's development for training, vaccinations, and socialization. When a puppy is returned to me I continue with training until it is ready for its new forever home. This includes getting proper vaccinations and enrolling in socialization classes if needed. Please review my contract below.
