Luna is a unicorn when it comes to color! She carries for phantom, tricolor, sable, agouti, red, parti  and a melanistic mask. She also carries a fading gene so some of her puppies’ coats lighten as they grow older. I have included pictures so future puppy families can get an idea of how their puppy will look when it is grown. Sable and Agouti are similar color traits. Sable and Agouti coated dogs have some black hairs interspersed with another color, such as tan or gray.They also usually have bi colored hairs- you may notice that Luna is silver when her coat is short and looks black when it is long.  This is because her hair turns black on the tips as it grows out. Lucy has a sable/agouti coat that faded over time revealing her caramel colored coat after a haircut. Her ear tips and tail stayed dark. She also has a red melanistic mask with a "widow's peak" that is lighter and a bit gray. If you look closely you can see it. All colors in this photo are her natural color.

Poppy's tricolor coat didn't fade and her colors are the same now that she is grown.

Amora's phantom coat color stayed the same except for some light fading on her tan points.

You can see that Rooster's agouti/sable coat faded to a lighter gray. He still has a melanistic mask on his eyes and muzzle, (I think it makes him look like a little panda!) and his ear tips stayed dark.

Zero has a parti (spotted) sable coat.  His spots are a lighter apricot color when he has a new haircut, then turn a darker red as his coat grows out. His ear tips will likely stay black.

Cleo has a parti (spotted) sable coat.  Her spots are red and the tips turn dark gray as they grow out. Her ear tips will likely stay black.
